Year-Round Tax Planning for Independent Physicians
Proactive tax strategy for independent physicians, practice owners and physicians with 1099 income
What Vantage Does
Tax strategy and planning, handled year-round.
Most tax professionals focus on preparing and filing returns. We focus on the decisions that happen before the return — the ones that actually affect how much you pay.
Our work is ongoing. We meet with clients quarterly, monitor their tax position throughout the year, and bring recommendations as they become relevant to your life.

Common questions
A few things to know before reaching out
The main difference is the scope of the engagement. A traditional relationship with a tax professional focuses on getting the return filed. Our work starts earlier, we look at what decisions you can make before the year closes. Whether that difference is worth making a change depends on your situation, which is what the introductory call is for. We’re also happy to coordinate with your current tax preparer.
Yes. Multi-state 1099 income is one of our more common client situations. We handle the filing requirements across states, quarterly estimated payments, and the self-employment tax planning that comes with locum work.
Yes. While Vantage is based in Los Angeles, we work with physicians nationwide. Multi-state filings are a regular part of our work, particularly for locum tenens physicians who practice across state lines.
Tax planning projects are fixed fee and priced based on complexity. They generally start at $6,000 a year. We discuss pricing directly during the introductory call, once we understand what your situation actually involves.
